Who operates this website
TypeToWork is an independent typing and office-practice website at typetowork.com. For privacy questions, contact typetowork.help@gmail.com.
Practice stays on this device
We store preferences, result summaries, local dates, mistake categories, assignment references and optional certificate names in your browser. We also keep bounded character aggregates, lesson completion, game summaries, goals and passage paragraph bookmarks. Each history retains up to 500 summaries. Raw passages you type, keystroke streams and office entries are excluded from durable practice histories and backups. Private custom text stays in tab memory and must be supplied again after a reload.
Optional accounts
Guest practice needs no account. When Firebase is configured, Google or email/password sign-in processes account information such as your email, display name and authentication session. Google sign-in does not grant Gmail inbox access. Firebase manages session persistence according to your Keep me signed in choice. Guest and signed-in histories stay in separate local profiles; signing in does not upload or sync your practice history, custom text or certificate names. Signing out keeps local account history for a later visit. Anyone controlling the same browser may access its local data.
See Firebase privacy information and Google’s Privacy Policy.
Your controls and retention
Use Progress to export/import backups, remove certificate names or clear practice histories. Backups can contain certificate names, so keep them private. Clearing browser storage can permanently remove local progress. Account deletion requests can be sent to the support address above; clearing local history or signing out does not delete a Firebase account. Retention of authentication and hosting records also depends on those service providers and the site operator’s configured services.
Optional advertising
Advertising is currently disabled in this website configuration. No advertising tag is loaded by this build.
When enabled, ads are limited to the home page below useful content and after guide articles. Practice, games and eligible certificate downloads remain available with ads off. The site does not send practice entries, custom text, result histories, certificate names, email addresses or account identifiers to its advertising integration.
Reviewing Google privacy options connects your browser to Google to load its advertising/privacy service with ad requests paused. Those network requests can expose normal technical information such as IP address, browser details, page address and existing Google cookies. The local device choice does not replace Google’s regional consent message. Ad requests start only when the configured privacy checks permit them. If the privacy service fails or the required consent is refused, optional ads stay off.
When ads are permitted, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and other websites. Google and its partners may personalize ads based on those visits. Google’s regional privacy message identifies the selected advertising providers and their privacy information. Read how Google uses information from partner sites. You can manage personalized advertising in Google Ad Settings and find further participating-provider choices at YourAdChoices.
Change advertising choices
Use the Privacy choices button here or in the footer to keep all optional ads off or review Google’s regional consent message. When available, Google also provides a “Do not sell or share” link for applicable US state choices. A recognized Global Privacy Control signal keeps this site’s optional ads off. Turning ads off pauses new requests and removes placements; requests already sent can finish and existing provider cookies are not deleted. You can manage those cookies through your browser and the provider’s controls.
The device advertising preference is stored under ttw-optional-ads-v1 as allow/off. It is shared across local practice profiles, is excluded from progress backups and lasts until changed or browser data is cleared. If storage is unavailable, it applies to the current tab only. The consent service manages its own regional consent records.
Hosting and analytics
Your hosting provider processes normal requests and network information needed to serve the website. For versions hosted on Cloudflare Pages, see Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy. No analytics or AI service is installed in this release. Account and advertising providers are contacted only through the configured optional features described above. Please avoid entering confidential customer, financial or employer records into practice.
Practice certificates
Certificates are generated locally from saved practice summaries. They are unproctored practice records, not accredited qualifications, verified identity documents or independently verified examinations. There is no public certificate registry.
